Allen DeCarlo- Theatre Director

Theatre Director Allen DeCarlo

Allen, a Pickerington High School North graduate, received his Bachelor’s of Art in Theatre and a minor in Dance from Northern Kentucky University. Allen teaches Theatre I, II, III, and IV at Pickerington High School North and Lakeview Junior High. Allen has also directed for Weathervane Playhouse. He is the proud son of Lisa and Jeff DeCarlo. With Pickerington North being Allen’s alma mater, he feels so privileged to be able to teach the future of the community he grew up in.

 

Scott Skiles- Technical Director

Technical Director Scott Skiles

A graduate of the Pickerington High School Theatre program, Scott taught and designed at the Governor’s School for the Arts in Virginia. He has his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from Ohio State University and earned his Master’s of Fine Arts from the University of Connecticut. His professional credits include Pittsburgh Public Theatre, Virginia Stage Co., CATCO, Merrimack Repertory Theatre, and Metro Music Theatre. Others: OSU, Otterbein College, Old Dominion, Actors Theatre, and Louisiana State. Scott teaches Theatre Production.

 

Chris Zinkon- Sound Designer

Chris, a Pickerington High School Theatre Dept. graduate, received his Bachelor’s of Art in Technical Theatre at Ohio State University. After serving as Technical Director at the Tony-winning Alley Theatre in Houston for eight years, he returned to Ohio and is now the Resident Technical Director at Ohio State University’s Theatre Department where he teaches Technical Direction, Rigging, and Advanced Theatre Graphics courses. He, his wife Ardra, and son, Henry, live in Pickerington. We thank Chris for being so very helpful in our set construction, along with designing sound.

 

Jackie Farbeann- Costume Designer

Costume Designer Jackie Farbeann

Jackie received a B.A. in Theater with special interest in costuming from the Ohio State University. Since 2003 she has done costuming for community theater groups including Mystery Ink, Center Stage Players and Imagine Productions where she is a member of the board of directors. Jackie has received a certificate in textile conservation from the Campbell Center for historic preservation and is currently working on several garments for the OSU Historic Garment and Textile Collection. This is her second production for PHSN!

Matt Hazard- Lighting Designer

Lighting Designer Matt Hazard

Matt is a freelance lighting designer who currently manages the lighting studio at the Ohio State University Department of Theatre. In the last year, Matt programmed Marriage of Figaro for Opera Columbus, designed In Here Out There at Ohio State, co-designed Full Monty at Otterbein University, and designed In the Heights for Upper Arlington High School. Matt has designed several shows for the Ohio State University Department of Theatre, School of Music, and other productions around Columbus and at Ohio State where he also earned his BA in Theatre and his MFA in Design. Matt teaches lighting classes in the Department of Theatre and is also an ETCP Certified Entertainment Electrician.

 

Cheridy Keller- Vocal Director/Conductor

Cheridy Keller Vocal Director/Conductor

Cheridy holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and Music Therapy from Michigan State University in piano and woodwinds, where she marched in the MSU Spartan Marching Band in both the color guard and the drumline. She teaches vocal music at Granville Middle School. She spent 7 years directing summer stock musicals at Weathervane Playhouse where she served as Resident Music Director. She works for the vocal music department at Olentangy High School as an instrumental combo director, accompanist and arranger for their competitive show choir, and for many schools in central Ohio as an accompanist. She has written many original compositions, including the original score for Weathervane’s 2008 production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She is a contemporary worship leader at both Pickerington Epiphany Lutheran Church and St. Christopher’s Catholic Church in Grandview, OH.

Courtney Boggs/Angie Smith- Choreographers

Choreographers Courtney Boggs/Angie Smith

Courtney Boggs and Angie Smith are the owners and founders of Passé Dance Center which has been open for 11 years. They have choreographed 14 shows for PHS Central and 6 shows at PHS North.
